By KYIV. Jan 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Currently, Germany has no plans to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, a government spokesman said at a briefing on Monday.
Last week, Germany announced that it was sending Marder combat vehicles to Kyiv, responding to calls to provide more heavy weapons to repel Russian aggression.
Reuters, citing a statement by German Economy Minister Robert Habeck, reported that Germany cannot rule out the supply of Leopard tanks, heavier combat vehicles than Marders, to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the future.
