Enemy launches 39 missile, air strikes on Ukraine, carries out 63 MLRS attacks over day – AFU General Staff

KYIV. Jan 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Over the past day on Monday, January 9, the Russian invaders launched eight missile and 31 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine. The enemy made 63 attacks from the MLRS, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) reported.

"During the past day, the enemy launched eight missile and 31 air strikes, and conducted 63 MLRS attacks, including on civilian infrastructure of the cities of Kharkiv, Kherson, Kramatorsk (Donetsk region); and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region. There are victims among the civilian population," according to a report on Tuesday morning.

The General Staff stressed that the threat of enemy air and missile strikes on critical infrastructure remains throughout Ukraine.

Siversky and Slobozhansky axes: the enemy fired on the positions of our troops and civilian objects in the vicinities of Buchky settlement (Chernihiv region); Starykove, Shalyhine, Volfyne, Popivka, Basivka and Petrushivka (Sumy region); and Strilecha, Zelene, Ambarne and Hatysche (Kharkiv region).

Kupiansk and Lyman axes: the enemy shelled the areas of 22 settlements with tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery. Among them are Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka and Krokhmalne of Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka, Makiyivka, Ploschanka and Dibrova of Luhansk region.

Bakhmut axis: the enemy shelled the areas of more than 25 settlements. In particular, Spirne, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Soledar and Bakhmut of Donetsk region.

Avdiyivka axis: Avdiyivka, Vesele, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiyivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region were affected by enemy fire.

Novopavlivka axis: Vremivka, Velyka Novosilka and Vuhledar in Donetsk region were shelled.

Zaporizhia axis: areas of 21 settlements were affected by fire. Among them are Zelene Pole and Novopil of Donetsk region and Hulyaipole, Hulyaipilske, Charivne, Scherbaky and Stepove in Zaporizhia region.

Kherson axis: the civilian infrastructure of Chornobayivka, Antonivka, Zolota Balka and Kherson was damaged by enemy artillery shelling.
