Ukraine, Poland plan to launch pilot project on medical data exchange between clinics

KYIV. Jan 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Health Ministry of Ukraine plans to launch a pilot project for the exchange of medical data with clinics in Poland.

"We are in contact with our colleagues from Poland in order to pilot the exchange of medical data between the two countries," the ministry told Interfax-Ukraine, citing Deputy Health Minister Maria Karchevych.

According to her, thanks to such an exchange, Ukrainians who are in Poland will be able to have access to their electronic medical records. The same opportunity will be for Polish citizens in Ukraine.

At the same time, Karchevych did not specify the timing of the project.

In addition, the Deputy Minister said that the Health Ministry is currently developing electronic solutions for rehabilitation and blood donation.

"These are the requirements of the time and relevant projects," Karchevych said.
