KYIV. May 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Russian Federation has already exhausted the reserves of combat-ready tactical battalion groups, new units are being formed on the basis of conscripts and mobilization resources in Belgorod and Rostov regions, which are sent to the territory of Ukraine, the press service of the Defense Intelligence Agency of Ukraine reports.
"In Russia, covert mobilization continues at the state level. New units of the occupying troops are being formed in Belgorod and Rostov regions on the basis of conscripts and mobilization resources, which are sent to the territory of Ukraine. However, the use of such troops is mostly ineffective," representative of the Defense Intelligence Agency Vadym Skybytsky said on the air of the national marathon, the press service of intelligence reports.
According to him, people liable for military service are called through the military registration and enlistment offices, they sign contracts, after which new units are formed and sent to the territory of Ukraine.
"In many cases, this is not effective, but we really understand that today the Russian Federation has exhausted the resources related to the most combat-ready tactical battalion groups. Although it still has enough reserves to enter the territory of Ukraine," the representative of the military intelligence of Ukraine.
Skybytsky also spoke about depressive moral and psychological climate in the units of the Russian occupation forces.
"The most depressing morale is among the military personnel of the 1st and 2nd army corps from the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Because it is there that forced mobilization and conscription into the ranks of the Russian occupation troops takes place. Unprepared personnel, who, in fact, have no combat experience, is now being sent to the most important areas," he said.
