By KYIV. Jan 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In addition to Poland and Finland, three more countries are ready to transfer Leopard tanks to Ukraine, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
“We already have five countries ready to transfer [Leopard tanks], but which are waiting for a final solution to the issue with Germany,” he said during a conversation with journalist Vadym Karpyak, posted on Instagram on Friday.
Kuleba noted that Poland’s promise to provide Ukraine with a company of Leopard tanks prompted other countries that “sat quietly and whispered about their readiness to transfer tanks” to come out and declare their readiness. In particular, we are talking about Finland, the minister added.
Three other countries, in addition to Poland and Finland, are ready to do this, but they will declare it publicly only, being sure that Germany will support the decision.
