Kuleba in talk with Blinken stresses need for Ukraine to receive Western-type tanks, discusses sanctions against Russia

KYIV. Jan 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a telephone conversation, discussed ways to strengthen American and international support for Ukraine, including military assistance.

“I had a call with Secretary Blinken on ways to ramp up U.S. and international support for Ukraine, including military aid. I emphasized the need for Ukraine to receive Western-type tanks. We also discussed further sanctions on Russia. Grateful to the U.S. for standing with Ukraine,” Kuleba said on Twitter.

In turn, Blinken repeated in the conversation that “the United States is not going anywhere, and neither is Ukraine.”

“As we approach the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion I appreciate the continued close coordination and cooperation with Dmytro Kuleba and his team in Ukraine. In my call with the Foreign Minister today I reiterated, the U.S. is not going anywhere and neither is Ukraine,” he said on Twitter.
