By KHARKIV. May 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In Kharkiv region, Russian occupying forces focus on holding their positions and prepare for an offensive attempt in Izium district, head of Kharkiv regional military administration Oleh Synehubov said.
"The enemy is trying to concentrate most of their efforts on holding their positions and is preparing an offensive attempt in Izyum region," Synehubov wrote in his telegram channel.
At the same time, he noted the successes of defense forces of Kharkiv region and expressed confidence that they would be able to repel any actions of the invaders.
"The defense forces of Kharkiv region continue to steadfastly hold their positions and carry out successful counter-offensive actions. The units of the Territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have reached the state border in the north of Kharkiv region… The occupiers will receive a worthy rebuff from our defenders for all their actions," Synehubov wrote.
