By KYIV. May 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the French Parliament for recognizing the Russian private military company Wagner as a terrorist organization and said that this should be adopted by the entire world.
“Special thanks to the French parliament for today’s decision to recognize the Russian pseudo-private Wagner group as a terrorist organization. This is something that should be adopted by the entire world – every manifestation of terrorism must be destroyed, and every terrorist must be convicted,” Zelenskyy said in an evening video message.
As reported, on Tuesday, the French parliament, represented by 331 deputies, recognized PMC Wagner as a terrorist organization. There was not a single vote against.
In addition, the lower house of the French Parliament adopted a resolution calling on the government and the European Union to also recognize Wagner PMC as terrorists.
