KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine in January-April this year increased the export of pig iron in kind by 18.3% compared to the same period last year, to 533,844 tonnes.
According to statistics published by the State Customs Service, for the specified period, exports of pig iron in monetary terms reached $203.125 million (a decrease of 7.7%).
At the same time, exports were mainly to Poland (60.42% of deliveries in monetary terms), Spain (15.23%) and the Czech Republic (9.84%).
In the first four months of the year, Ukraine imported 32 tonnes of pig iron worth $42,000 from Germany (52.38%) and Brazil (47.62%), while in January-April 2022 the country imported 15 tonnes of pig iron from Germany for $25,000.
