KYIV. May 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – At the request of the prosecutor of the Holosiyivsky District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv, the court decided to transfer the weapons seized as part of the investigation into criminal proceedings in favor of the police to carry out combat missions at the front.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said on Telegram on Saturday that Kyiv prosecutors also donated seized cars to the needs of the assault brigades of the Interior Ministry’s Offensive Guard.
“Prosecutors handed over four vehicles, an anti-aircraft gun, more than a hundred mortar mines, dozens of boxes with mini fuses, ballistic gunpowder, a large number of cartridges of various calibers, grenades, grenade launchers, more than 70 types of various weapons and ammunition,” the PGO said.
All transferred weapons were found and seized by prosecutors as part of the investigation into criminal proceedings on the fact of illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives (Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
