KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PJSC Ukrnafta carried out a major overhaul of a well at a depth of more than 4,000 m and received a daily flow rate of more than 60,000 cubic meters of natural gas and 40 tonnes of condensate, company director Serhiy Koretsky said on his Facebook page.
According to him, the purpose of the overhaul of the field located in the East of Ukraine was its additional exploration.
The company’s specialists completed a range of geophysical work necessary to clarify the current saturation of reservoir layers. After the study, perforation work was carried out at a depth of 4,393-4,396 m to connect the well with the production horizon. The discovered deposit has an area of 3.8 square km with a productive part thickness of up to 3.6 m.
“The well was put into pilot production to obtain additional data on the deposit containing previously explored reserves. In the future, these reserves can be transferred to the industrial category. Successful overhaul of the well increased hydrocarbon production and confirmed the importance of additional exploration of existing fields,” Koretsky noted.
Support and implementation of the work was carried out by specialists from the departments of field development and geological study, NGDUPoltavanaftogaz and the structural unit of Ukrnafta-Drilling.
