By KYIV. Dec 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – All air commands distinguished themselves in repelling a missile attack on Friday: Center, Pivden (South), Skhid (East) and West, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message on Friday.
"Today’s result is 60 missiles shot down. All air commands distinguished themselves: Center, South, East and West. Particularly productive were the soldiers of the 96th anti-aircraft missile brigade, covering Kyiv region. More than 40 terrorist missiles were destroyed precisely in the sky of the country’s central regions and near Kyiv. Thank you warriors!" he said.
But, the President noted, unfortunately, there are hits. "Terrorists need such a massive amount of missile raids that at least some of their ‘products’ reach their designated targets. All of their targets today are civilian, and these are mainly energy and heat supply facilities," Zelensky said.
"Our power engineers and repair teams started working during the air raid. I ask all our people to be patient and thank everyone whose job it is to return normality to life at any time," Zelensky said.
According to him, "no matter what the ‘missile worshipers’ from Moscow are counting on, this will still not change the balance of power in this war. They have enough missiles for several of these massive strikes. We have enough purposefulness and faith in ourselves to return our own after these blows."
