By KYIV. Jan 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink on New Year’s Eve expressed admiration for the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people during Russian shelling and stressed confidence in Ukraine’s victory in 2023.
"Beyond belief. Russia coldly and cowardly attacked Ukraine in the early hours of the new year. But Putin still does not seem to understand that Ukrainians are made of iron. America is absolutely confident Ukraine will prevail in 2023. Slava Ukraini!" She said on Twitter on Sunday night.
Earlier it was reported that according to preliminary information, 32 air targets were shot down by air defense systems on New Year’s Eve.
