As result of night shelling of Mykolaiv, five wounded, five infrastructure facilities, ten high-rise buildings damaged – mayor

KYIV. May 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As a result of the shelling of Mykolaiv by Russian invaders on Friday night, five infrastructure facilities and more than ten multi-storey buildings were damaged in the city, Mayor Oleksandr Sinkevych said.

"Five urban infrastructure facilities and more than ten residential multi-storey buildings were damaged as a result of night shelling in Mykolaiv. Our communal services work on the ground all day. They distribute film to people and help to score damaged windows," Sinkevych said in a Telegram on Friday.

According to him, there were no casualties, but five civilians were wounded.

"Regarding urban infrastructure, mainly damage to windows and roofs. Two cars were damaged at one of the utility companies. Two water purification systems and water tanks came under fire," the mayor said.

He said fires broke out in different parts of the city due to the hit of ammunition and debris, they were quickly worked out by the rescuers of the State Emergency Service.
