KYIV. Oct 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – U.S. President Joe Biden and the Prime Minister of Australia discussed a commitment to support Ukraine during a meeting in Washington, the White House said.
“We once again call on Russia to immediately, completely, and unconditionally withdraw its forces from within the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine. The United States and Australia are committed to supporting Ukraine to empower it to resolve this conflict on its own terms,” according to the release posted on White House website.
It is also reported that Australia has responded to the U.S. request and will deploy the E-7A Wedgetail long-range radar surveillance aircraft in Germany.
It is argued that the deployment of the Australian contingent will strengthen the multi-layered defense of the international flow of aid to Ukraine, providing early warning of threats to the aid gateway.
