KYIV. Nov 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has arrived in Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Since the first days of the war, Ukraine and the UK have been the strongest of allies. During today’s meeting, we discussed the most important issues both for our countries and for global security. Together we are stronger and we will achieve the desired results," the head of state said on the Telegram channel.
"During the meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, we discussed our possibilities to protect the Ukrainian and European energy security. We also talked about the defense of Ukrainian sky and our defense cooperation. Also, we considered in detail the diplomatic situation and common international efforts for peace. I am grateful for the principled support for Ukraine and constructive approach in talks," Zelensky said on the Telegram channel later.
