KYIV. Dec 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The court has chosen a preventive measure, detention, for the deputy of Keretsky village council Serhiy Batryn, suspected of committing a terrorist act, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine (SBU) said on Sunday.
“At the request of prosecutors, a deputy of Keretsky village council, suspected of committing a terrorist act, was chosen by the court as a preventive measure – detention,” the PGO said on the Telegram channel.
In Zakarpattia, in the building of Keretsky village council, a deputy detonated grenades: 26 people were injured, six of them in severe condition, doctors are trying to resuscitate the bomber, the National Police of Ukraine said.
The PGO also said that due to the death of one of the victims after a grenade explosion, the issue of “reclassification of the man’s actions under Part 3 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being resolved. We are talking about committing a terrorist act that resulted in the death of a person.”
Earlier it was reported that on December 15, in the building of Keretsky council, Mukachevo district, Zakarpattia region, during a session meeting, one of the deputies exploded grenades, injuring 26 people, six of whom were in serious condition. One of the victims was later reported dead.
