KYIV. Nov 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said that in 2023, Danube ports have more than doubled cargo transshipment.
“In 2023, the Danube ports more than doubled cargo transshipment. During this time, the number of ships that called at Reni, Izmail and Ust-Dunaisk increased by 54% compared to last year,” Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
The prime minister said that in this context, Romania is a key partner, since 11% of the value of Ukrainian exports comes from this country.
“We have extremely positive dynamics in bilateral trade relations and expect that by the end of the year Ukrainian-Romanian trade turnover will increase to 4 million tonnes. We will actively develop this direction further,” he said.
