Jan 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian aviation launched 15 strikes against the areas of concentration of the enemy manpower and attacked three enemy air defense systems in the past 24 hours, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said on Facebook, in the updates on the Russian invasion of Ukraine as of 18:00 on Thursday.
"At the same time, our defenders downed enemy Su-25 plane and Mi-8 helicopter," it said.
The Ukrainian artillery and rocket forces hit the area of concentration of enemy personnel and military equipment, the General Staff said.
