KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A meeting with the French parliamentary delegation has been held in Kyiv, during which Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stanislav Haider noted that the air defense systems provided earlier strengthened the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“You have already done incredible things for Ukraine, but we need a common final step to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense,” the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine quoted Haider as saying.
In turn, Deputy Defense Minister Yuriy Dzhyhir stressed that Ukraine is interested in helping France train Ukrainian pilots during 2024, and also that Ukraine appreciates the French contribution to “broader training of the Ukrainian military.”
At the same time, chairman of the Committee on European Affairs of the French National Assembly, Pieyre-Alexandre Anglade, stressed that his country “resolutely and for a long time stands side by side with Ukraine.”
The head of the French delegation noted that this visit indicates “that there will be no fatigue from Ukraine.”
