Dry cargo vessel to deliver Ukrainian sunflower oil to the UK

KYIV. Jan 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A dry cargo vessel with almost 6,000 tonnes of sunflower oil left the Ukrainian port on Friday, December 30, the Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) has reported.

"On December 30, the Seyma vessel left the port of Pivdenny, it is transporting a total of 5,915 tonnes of sunflower oil to the UK as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the JCC said.

Two dry cargo ships Leo I and Shen Yu 79 are also heading to Ukrainian ports, which passed through the maritime humanitarian corridor on Friday.

The JCC reported that "65 applications to join the Black Sea Grain Initiative have been submitted."

In addition, nine vessels are awaiting permission to enter the Ukrainian ports, 30 loaded dry cargo vessels are waiting to sail to their destinations.

"As of December 30, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 15,965,575 tonnes. A total of 1,211 voyages (601 inbound and 610 outbound) have been enabled so far," JCC said.
