Education Ministry asks European partners to support Ukrainian education in framework of Erasmus+, eTwinning and Eurydice Network programs

KYIV. Nov 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has asked EU partners to support Ukrainian education within the framework of the Erasmus+, eTwinning and Eurydice Network programs.

"During the visit to Brussels, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Andriy Vitrenko met with Director General of the European Commission for Education, Youth, Sports and Culture Themis Christofidou," the press service of the ministry said.

The Deputy Minister appealed to European partners with a proposal to support the initiative of comprehensive integration of Ukrainian education into the European educational space, in particular, to conduct a joint systematic analytical study on the revision of Ukraine’s status in the EU program on education, training, youth and sports Erasmus+ from the partner country to the program country.

It is also proposed to provide Ukraine with a separate "funding window" for higher and vocational education within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, to provide an opportunity for Ukrainian teachers and educational institutions to participate in the eTwinning program, as well as to include Ukraine in the European educational information system Eurydice Network.
