Eight people injured in Ochakiv shelling, three transferred to Mykolaiv hospitals – Kim

KYIV. Jan 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Eight people suffered injuries as a result of a shelling attack by the Russian occupation forces on the town of Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region on Monday, Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim has said.

"Ochakiv: eight injured were received [for hospitalization], and three of them have been transferred to Mykolaiv for treatment," he said on the Telegram channel.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko confirmed the information that eight people were injured and also said that more than 100 houses were damaged as a result of a missile strike against the town.

"A missile attack on Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region. More than 100 houses were damaged – their windows and roofs broken. Eight injured people have been hospitalized, people continue to arrive seeking help," he said on the Telegram channel.

Earlier, Kim reported that the occupiers shelled Ochakiv and damaged a hospital.

"Ochakiv has been shelled, there are five calls at 103. The hospital is damaged, many windows and doors have been destroyed," he said on the Telegram channel.

Later, he said that there were no casualties on the territory of the hospital.
