Electricity consumption in Kyiv limited to 575 MW, but no total blackouts – YASNO head

KYIV. Dec 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Electricity consumption in Kyiv due to another Russian missile attack is limited to 575 MW, but total blackouts are not expected, the head of energy supplier YASNO said on his Facebook page.

"There are now emergency power outages in Kyiv due to attacks. Consumption is limited to 575 MW, but there is no talk of a total blackout. Most of the city is with electricity. As soon as the situation in the power system is completely stabilized, we will return to the power outage schedules," he wrote.

Kovalenko promised to provide more detailed information later.

"There are arrivals in three areas, but we won’t talk about where exactly and how seriously. The power engineers are already working on recovery," the head of YASNO informed.

He also urged Kyiv resident to refrain from calling call centers now.

"Dear citizens, do not attack call centers with all entrances. Girls and guys do not know when the light will be restored at your address. Thank you," Kovalenko added.
