Dec 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has thanked the European Parliament for the decision to recognize the Holodomor famine as genocide of the Ukrainian people and stressed that this step restores historical justice and sends a powerful signal to parliaments around the world.
"Grateful to the European Parliament for recognizing the 1932-1933 Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people. This step restores historical justice and sends a powerful signal to parliaments around the world. We keep working on further recognition and expect more relevant decisions soon," he said on Twitter on Thursday.
