BRUSSELS. Nov 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Foreign ministers of the European Union member countries will continue to discuss the situation in Ukraine; work on the 12th package of sanctions for Russia is still ongoing.
As a senior European diplomat told reporters in Brussels on Friday, a discussion of Ukraine, in which Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will also take part via video link, will take place on Monday as part of a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
According to him, Minister Kuleba will talk about the situation on the ground. They will discuss the results of the meeting in Malta regarding the Zelenskyy’s peace formula. We will talk about issues of Russia’s responsibility, we will discuss various issues related to Russian aggression, he outlined the topics of discussion.
Answering a question about the possible adoption of the 12th package of sanctions for the Russian Federation at the meeting, the senior European diplomat stated that the discussion is still ongoing. He thinks the package of sanctions will be approved in the near future. As he said, he is not sure it will be this Monday. The internal discussion on some issues is still ongoing. We must close the entire package, the journalists’ interlocutor noted.
