KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The European Union welcomes the approval by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy of comprehensive strategic plan for reform of law and order system.
“EU welcomes approval by Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the overarching law enforcement strategy. Effective and reformed law enforcement is crucial for Ukraine’s resistance, modernisation and Ukraine’s accession to EU including implementation of 7 recommendations,” the EU Delegation to Ukraine said on Twitter on Friday.
It also said that the EU is looking forward to implementation and is committed to support it.
“A solid plan for law enforcement agencies signed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Part of the EU recommendations, done. Ukrainian President approves comprehensive strategic plan for reform of law and order system,” Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Matti Maasikas said on Twitter.
As reported, a National Crime Prevention Plan will be developed in Ukraine, according to the Comprehensive Strategic Plan for Reforming the state Law and Order System, published on Friday, approved on Thursday by presidential decree.
In a video address, Zelenskyy said that the document is designed for the period until 2027.
