Foreign Ministers of NATO countries to discuss assistance to Ukraine in Bucharest

BRUSSELS. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – NATO foreign ministers will meet on Tuesday for a two-day meeting in Bucharest to discuss the continuation of military assistance to Kyiv.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said earlier at a press conference in Brussels that NATO will continue to support Ukraine for as long as it takes and it will not back down. Allied countries are providing unprecedented military support.

He is confident that the best way to increase the chances of a peaceful solution is to support Ukraine.

As Stoltenberg explained, as part of a comprehensive assistance package, the alliance supplies Ukraine with fuel, medicines, winter equipment, as well as means of suppressing unmanned aerial vehicles. He thanked all allies for their contribution, the NATO Secretary General said.

To discuss long-term assistance to Ukraine, an exchange of views with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba is envisaged. Meetings are also scheduled with the foreign ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia and Moldova in order to take further steps to help them defend their independence and strengthen their ability to defend themselves.
