KYIV. May 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On May 5, 2023, Energoatom, the IAEA and the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs signed a trilateral cooperation agreement providing for France’s assistance to Energoatom in the purchase of spare parts for diesel generators through IAEA.
“For Energoatom, cooperation with the French government is important and significant, as it will help the company complete equipment that is critical for the safety of nuclear power plants,” Energoatom Vice-President Hartmut Jakob, who was quoted by the company in Telegram on Friday evening.
Jakob signed an agreement on behalf of the Ukrainian side in Kyiv, the company’s partners in Vienna.
“On behalf of Energoatom, I express my sincere gratitude to the government and people of France for the assistance provided, to the IAEA experts for the promptness and possibility of its implementation, and to all the colleagues of the parties involved for organizing and preparing this signing,” the company’s vice president said.
