Govt allocates extra UAH 124 mln to reimburse cost of wheat grain to provide humanitarian aid to Ethiopia, Somalia

KYIV. Dec 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated additional UAH 124 million to reimburse the cost of wheat grain in order to provide humanitarian assistance to Ethiopia and Somalia.

According to resolution No. 1076 of November 30, the government allocated additional UAH 123.957 million to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (for the State Emergency Service) to reimburse the full cost of wheat grain (not lower than third grade) in order to provide humanitarian assistance to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Somali Federation.

In this connection, the government redistributed UAH 224 million by reducing the amount of expenditures under the program servicing the public debt and increasing the amount of expenditures under the program Reserve Fund.

As reported, on September 16, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 420 million to the State Emergency Service to provide humanitarian assistance to Ethiopia and Somalia.
