Govt approves Communication Strategy on Ukraine's European Integration until 2026

KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the Communication Strategy on Ukraine’s European Integration until 2026.

"Today, the Cabinet of Ministers has adopted the Communication Strategy on Ukraine’s European Integration until 2026, as well as an operational plan for implementing the Strategy for 2022-2024," the press service of Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna said in a statement.

It is noted that the main goal of the Strategy is to maintain the current level of support for Ukraine’s accession to the EU by citizens of Ukraine and citizens of EU member states, as well as its gradual increase.

In particular, this implies a coordinated and systematic communication of the state with citizens both at the international national levels and at the level of local self-government regarding: the essence of state policy in the field of European integration based on the implementation of the Association Agreement and other agreements between Ukraine and the EU, sectoral integration of Ukraine into the political, economic, and cultural space of the EU; key milestones; distribution of responsibility for the implementation of the components of state policy; results and impact on the life of every citizen; monitoring and counteracting disinformation to discredit Ukraine’s course towards EU membership.

"To implement the strategy, it is planned to involve state bodies and institutions, local governments, cooperation and partnership projects in business, media, think tanks and public organizations, scientific and educational institutions," the message says.
