KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The government will help IT businesses solve problematic issues, in particular, regarding the booking of specialists of particular value to companies, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko has said during a meeting with the IT Ukraine Association.
"In working order, we will help solve problematic issues. In particular, on booking specialists who are of particular value to enterprises," Svyrydenko was quoted on the ministry’s website on Thursday.
Among employees of IT companies, 3% joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the ministry noted. And 9% became part of the global cyberfront.
"Our task is to preserve and support the IT sector as one of the most dynamic and promising, which will be of great importance after our victory in the process of restoring Ukraine," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
According to the Ministry of Economy, IT companies after Russia’s full-scale invasion retained 95% of the volume of contracts, and 77% of companies received new customers during the war.
"The results of the IT industry performance are $2 billion in January-March 2022. This is the highest export of computer services in the entire history of the market," the Ministry of Economy noted, adding that the industry pays UAH 222 million in taxes every month.
