If Putin dies, there will be no war – Zelensky in Letterman's show

KYIV. Dec 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that in the event of Vladimir Putin’s death, the war will end.

"If Putin dies, there will be no war. The authoritarian regime is dangerous because it is a huge risk. Because it can’t be that all depends on one person. When such a person leaves, the institutions stop. If he is not there, they will be engaged in domestic politics, but not foreign policy," he said in an interview with the famous comedian David Letterman, released on the Netflix platform on Monday.

Zelensky admitted that "a large percentage of the Russian population believes Putin." He explained this by saying that people are ready to "close the window and hide from the war not knowing where you live. There are people who understand reality, but are afraid."
