I’m engaged in war management every day – Zelensky in Letterman's show

KYIV. Dec 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said that "from morning to night seven days a week" he is engaged in "war management".

"Every day I am engaged in the management of the war, the state administration of Ukraine. From morning to night seven days a week," he said in an interview with the famous comedian David Letterman, released on the Netflix platform on Monday.

Answering a question about his work schedule, Zelensky said: "I wake up at 6:00, sometimes at 5:30 in the morning. If something is urgent, I start with a phone call. Then I have a military meeting. I will miss out the shower, but I’m a very ordinary person here, I will unlikely surprise you with anything."

Zelensky called the most pleasant moments "when I can talk to my children on the phone or with my wife. Such conversations are the moment when I can exhale."

He also highly appreciated the trip of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska to the United States. "There was a moment when we were concerned about the slowdown in support, the information vacuum, and the lack of air defense. And she, as a mother, was concerned. We received a response from our partners that yes, we understood you. Her visit was very important. A lot of funds were allocated for the construction of bomb shelters in schools. It worked," the President of Ukraine said.
