Dec 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Over the past day Sunday, December 4, Russian invaders launched seven missile and 32 air strikes, carried out more than 50 attacks from the MLRS on the positions of the Ukrainian military and settlements, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Monday.
"Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched seven missile and 32 air strikes, and also carried out more than 50 attacks from multiple launch missile systems at the positions of our troops and settlements along the line of contact. The threat of missile strikes against energy system facilities and critical infrastructure throughout Ukraine remains," the AFU said in the morning summary on Facebook.
In Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation did not change significantly, and no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were found.
The Republic of Belarus continues to support the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, providing territory and airspace for missile and air strikes. Certain units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In Siversk direction, the enemy carried out mortar shelling of the settlements of Sopych, Svarkove and Zarutske of Sumy region.
In Slobozhansky direction, the areas of the settlements of Tymofiyivka, Strilka, Starytsia, Buhrovatka, Vovchansk, and others of Kharkiv region were subjected to shelling from various-caliber artillery from the enemy.
The enemy is on the defensive in Kupiansk and Lymansk directions. It carried out shelling from tanks and artillery in the settlements of Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.
In Bakhmut and Avdiyivka directions, the occupiers are concentrating their main efforts on conducting offensive operations and are trying to improve the tactical situation. Shelling from tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery were fired at the areas of the settlements of Soledar, Chasiv Yar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Kostiantynivka, and others.
On Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhia directions, the enemy is on the defensive. The areas of settlements Novosilka, Neskuchne, Zolota Nyva in Donetsk region and Novoandriyivka, Novodanylivka, and others in Zaporizhia region suffered fire damage.
In the direction of Kherson, the enemy fired artillery at more than 20 settlements along the right bank of the Dnieper River. Russian invaders do not stop the fire terror of the civilian population of the city of Kherson.
