By KYIV. May 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna says that it is impossible to take away the status of a candidate for membership of the European Union from Ukraine.
“It is impossible to take the status of a candidate from Ukrainians. We, as politicians, are doing everything so that there is no background after this decision is made,” Stefanishyna said on the air of the national telethon on Tuesday.
According to her, the country’s authorities are working to ensure that neither Ukrainians nor European politicians doubt the decision to grant candidate status.
