KYIV. Jan 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio announced his determination as the G7 head to demonstrate the determination to the world and not to allow any change in the status quo world through force or the threat of the use of nuclear weapons.

Such theses are contained in a tweet of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine dedicated to the address of Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio regarding the upcoming G7 summit in Hiroshima.

"Because of Russian aggression against Ukraine, which has shaken the foundation of the international order, the international community is now at a historic turning point," Kishida Fumio said.

"The G7 strongly rejects any attempt to unilaterally change the status quo through force, the threat or use of nuclear weapons and upholds the international order based on the rule of law," the report notes.

"As the head of the G7, I will lead the discussion and show the world the strong will of the G7 countries with a sense of historical importance," Kishida Fumio was quoted as saying by the Japanese Embassy.
