Key topics of NATO, OSCE and G7 events to be supply of air defense systems to Ukraine, restoration of damaged energy infrastructure – Kuleba

KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The key topics of NATO, OSCE and G7 events in Romania and Poland will be the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine and the restoration of damaged energy infrastructure, the country’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said.

"At the meetings in Bucharest and Lodz, I will have two key messages: Patriot and transformers. The time for talking has passed. While someone is thinking about which generator to put and in which way, Ukrainians are freezing without electricity, heating and water because of Russian missile strikes," Kuleba said, speaking to reporters in Bucharest, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday.

According to him, during meetings with NATO and OSCE foreign ministers, he will discuss specific dates and volumes of supplies of equipment and components to Ukraine to meet energy needs against the background of Russian missile attacks.

The Minister also noted that it is now critically important not only to restore energy capacity, but also to ensure reliable protection of this equipment from further attacks by the Russian Federation.

"This can be achieved by strengthening the air and missile defense of our country," Kuleba stressed.

The Minister also called on international partners to increase the capacity for the manufacture of weapons so that Ukraine has enough funds for an effective counter-battery fight.

"We are negotiating the production of weapons and ammunition for Ukraine on the territory of NATO, as well as the joint production and repair of weapons on the basis of Ukrainian defense enterprises. There is no alternative to this decision," Kuleba said.

He also added that the Ukrainian air defense system should be integrated with the NATO air defense system that meets the common interests of Ukraine and the Alliance.
