KYIV. Oct 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko had an online conversation with Mayor of Copenhagen Sophie Andersen and invited her to visit the capital of Ukraine.
“I spoke online with the mayor of Copenhagen, Sophie Andersen. I thanked the authorities and the community of the Danish capital for supporting Ukrainians and providing shelter to our citizens who were forced to flee the war,” Klitschko said in Telegram channel on Wednesday.
The mayor said “Kyiv is interested in further cooperation with Copenhagen and the implementation of joint projects.” Klitschko said the main projects were defined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the capitals, signed this year. Projects include working with war veterans, helping to create a rehabilitation center for soldiers and veterans in the capital, organizing recreation for children, as well as projects to create a comfortable living environment for people with disabilities.
“I invited Sophie Andersen to visit Kyiv in the near future,” Klitschko said.
