By KYIV. Sept 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba congratulated his colleague from the Netherlands Hanke Bruins Slot on his new position.
“Congratulations to Hanke Bruins Slot on her appointment as Foreign Minister of the Netherlands. We have excellent the Netherlands-Ukraine bilateral relations. I look forward to working together to bring Ukraine’s victory closer, ensure accountability for Russian crimes, and defend our shared values,” Kuleba said.
Bruins Slot, who previously headed the country’s Interior Ministry, has become the new head of the Dutch Foreign Ministry. Her appointment comes after Wopke Hoekstra stepped down as Foreign Minister effective September 1.
The decision comes into force on September 5.
