Kuleba: Every reason to believe U.S. House of Reps has votes for law providing aid to Ukraine

KYIV. Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that there is every reason to believe that there are votes in the U.S. House of Representatives for a law to provide additional assistance to Ukraine, although there is great political opposition there.

“The main thing is the result, whether there are votes for the law or not. And now we have every reason to believe that there are votes for a law that will provide Ukraine with an additional amount of support in the U.S. House of Representatives. At the same time, there is a huge political confrontation there. And it would be a sin for some political players in America not to take advantage of the issue of this bill,” Kuleba said during the telethon.

The minister again emphasized that most likely, in the near future, “statements that will irritate and create panic, but this is politics” will come from the United States.

“In politics, a lot depends on statements, but in the end, what matters, as Lobanovsky said, is the result on the scoreboard,” Kuleba noted.

According to Kuleba, he now sees “all prospects” for the result of the vote in the U.S. Congress to be positive for Ukraine, noting the active work of the president’s diplomatic team. He also called on people not to react to provocative statements and comments and to believe in Ukraine and Ukrainian-American relations.
