BRUSSELS. Dec 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba intends to hold a meeting with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto.
He told reporters about this in Brussels on Monday after attending a meeting of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs, in which Ukraine was the first issue on the agenda.
According to Kuleba, such a meeting “will take place in a few hours.”
The Ukrainian minister also said that during the meeting with his participation, Szijjarto “did not take the floor.” “For years Hungary has used the issue of national minorities as an argument. But now that we have done everything we had to do in this regard, we realized that the problem goes beyond that. And this is amazing for us, because for decades Hungary has been at the forefront among those who support Ukraine’s integration into the EU. Today I will have a meeting with the Hungarian Foreign Minister, and I will try to find out what has changed, what the new concerns are that Hungary is raising now,” he detailed.
