By KYIV. Sept 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine expects that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will make a decision on the transfer of long-range Taurus missiles as soon as possible, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
“But we really hope that the Chancellor will make this decision as soon as possible [on the transfer of Taurus to Ukraine]. It will be absolutely logical, there will be nothing revolutionary here. The UK and France are already giving us long-range missiles. You just need to put a tick, signature and give effect to this important decision, which in particular will allow our soldiers to move forward more easily, give them more room for maneuver,” he said on the air of the telethon on Monday.
According to the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, to say directly that Scholz “blocks” the transfer of missiles “would be counterproductive” now, this can “be allowed in Germany’s domestic policy.”
