Kyiv receives two high-power generators from Taiwan as assistance

KYIV. Jan 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyiv received the first two of the 20 planned high-power generators (300-800 kVA) as part of the implementation of the memorandum between Kyiv and Taiwan on assistance in purchasing alternative power sources, the press service of Kyiv mayor said on Monday.

"The first two generators have already been handed over to Kyivteploenergo, they are used in city boiler houses. The project involves the transfer of about 20 generators to power the capital’s critical infrastructure. We are very grateful to our partners for supporting Kyiv and Ukraine," Vitali Klitschko said during the transfer generators to the Kyivteploenergo utility company.

In December 2022, Kyiv and Taiwan signed a memorandum of understanding to help the capital of Ukraine purchase diesel power generators with the assistance of a donation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan.
