KYIV. Dec 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The largest mobile operator in Ukraine, Kyivstar, has resumed access to the Internet throughout the country, the company’s press service reported on Facebook.
“The company is actively working to launch SMS and restore access to My Kyivstar,” the company said.
More than 95% of mobile communication base stations have resumed operation.
The network is stabilized and works in all standards, including 4G.
“The service may operate at a reduced speed, but as the network stabilizes, its quality will improve,” the mobile operator said.
It is noted that the accrual of bonuses and compensation to subscribers who could not use communication services due to a hacker attack will be carried out only after the network has been completely stabilized and all services have been launched. Subscribers are asked to expect official information from the company.
Over the past 24 hours, international roaming services have also been restored. Even earlier – voice communication services and fixed Internet.
Kyivstar indicated that in some localities there may still be short-term difficulties with communication, but the company’s specialists will quickly eliminate them. If the SIM card does not register on the network, it is advised to restart the phone, or turn on and off the “airplane” mode. Selecting the Kyivstar network in the phone settings also helps.
