By KYIV. Dec 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The merger of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development will improve coordination in the restoration of war-affected regions, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal believes.
"I congratulate Oleksandr Kubrakov on his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development. Among his areas of responsibility will be infrastructure and regional development, which will allow a more systematic approach to planning the process of restoring Ukraine," Shmyhal said on Telegram.
According to him, the position of Deputy Prime Minister is an important signal to both society and partners that restoration is already a priority for Ukraine today, and that restoration must begin right now.
"The merger of the ministries of infrastructure and communities and territories development will also improve coordination in the restoration of war-affected regions and the passage of the most difficult winter in our history," the prime minister said.
