KYIV. May 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Virtual monobank, like other banks, will return the seizure temporarily lifted after the start of the war on funds on the accounts of individual clients in connection with the entry into force of the law on amendments to certain laws of Ukraine on certain features of the organization of the enforcement of judicial decisions and decisions of other authorities during martial law.
“Since the law has come into force, we must return the seizure that was removed during martial law. This will affect about 436,000 our clients,” said Oleh Horokhovsky, the co-founder of the bank.
He clarified that this law cancels the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution, which removed the arrests by the executive service in the amount of less than UAH 100,000 for the duration of martial law.
“The new law allows clients with seizure of funds to use the amount of two minimum wages (UAH 13,400), provided that the client contacts the contractor who, in turn, sends us a resolution to remove the arrest in the amount of UAH 13,400 on one of the client’s accounts,” Horokhovsky said.
According to him, nothing can be done about this, and all banks will comply with this norm.
At the beginning of March of this year, Horokhovsky indicated that the number of bank customers exceeded 7 million.
