KYIV. Sept 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – During the night attack in Odesa region, more than three dozen strike drones were shot down, said Commander of the Air Forces of the AFU Mykola Oleschuk.
“During the night attack in Odesa region, more than three dozen attack drones were shot down! Behind this figure is the titanic work of Ukrainian defenders. I especially want to note the combat work of mobile firing groups! Their accuracy is growing every day, with each combat report we have a greater percentage of shooting down strike UAVs by means of mobile fire groups of all defense forces!” he wrote on the Telegram channel.
The Commander noted the rational use of anti-aircraft weapons and ammunition in accordance with the type of air targets.
“In simple words, the Air Force does not spend scarce anti-aircraft guided missiles on Shaheds, but stores them for Russian planes, helicopters and cruise missiles. Thank you for your work! Together to victory!” Oleschuk explained.
On Wednesday morning, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that launches of 44 shaheds were recorded in Odesa and Sumy regions. Thirty-three attack drones were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders.
