By KYIV. Dec 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Mobile fire group of National Guard officers of the 27th Pechersk Brigade shot down a Kh-101 cruise missile during Russia’s massive missile attack on Ukraine on December 5, the Interior Ministry of Ukraine has said on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
"They managed to shot down the low-flying missile using heavy machine guns and automatic rifles," it said.
The ministry also said that the National Guard’s firing calculations were made to counter air strikes, in particular, shoot down missiles and kamikaze drones.
"In combination with effective work of air defense units, this allows to improve the results of air targets destruction and thus save infrastructure facilities and our citizens’ life," it said.
