KYIV. Nov 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Netherlands to allocate EUR 120 million for the supply of heavy military equipment to the Ukrainian army, including EUR 45 million for T-72 tanks, the press service of the Dutch Ministry of Defense іфшв.
"This comprehensive package is an important signal to Russia. Allies continue to unite to support the Ukrainian armed forces in the fight against the Russian war of aggression," Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren said.
It is noted that together with the United States and the Czech Republic, the Netherlands will supply 90 modernized and overhauled tanks from the Czech Republic. Ukraine will receive part of the tanks next month.
In turn, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba thanked the Netherlands, the United States and the Czech Republic for the decision to expand assistance to Ukraine.
"I am grateful to the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and the U.S. for their joint decision to provide 90 T-72 tanks to Ukraine. First 26 repaired and modernized tanks will arrive within the next month. Thank you, friends, for your unwavering solidarity with Ukraine," Kuleba said on Twitter.
